Accountabilities

  • Contribute as a core team member, the planning and execution of RCIPs, PPS Investigations and other initiatives or projects that support annual operational initiatives.
  • Act as Material Management in cross-functional strategic initiatives or projects.
  • Ensure that the work environment and behaviors promote a culture of safety.
  • Contribute to a positive, engaging work environment by modeling good leadership behaviors including professionalism and respect for employees at all times.
  • Manage employee performance including performance evaluation and the performance review process.
  • Provide encouragement to teams and individual team members through recognition and celebration while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance and incident investigations and able to positively resolve conflict or disputes if / when they arise.
  • Will be Involved in the decision making process concerning hiring, discipline and termination of employees.
  • Provide input to their manager regarding annual operating budgets, including quarterly re-forecasts, and operating goals (safety, people, quality, service delivery, and cost) for the assigned team.
  • Manage the team toward consistent attainment of daily performance and monthly goals.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements in health & safety, quality, environment, and privacy are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure our material fulfillment service levels to our internal and external clients are met.
  • Conduct routine 5S audits and drive the team to create an environment that is safe, orderly, and efficient.
  • Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehousing.
  • Previous experience leading people in a similar operation a definite asset.
  • Experience in Inventory Management / Warehouse Management Technology.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Proactive disposition to create, develop and deploy leading practices or innovations.
  • Ability to operate on a 3 month planning and goal horizon.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, train and mentor employees on processes and technology.
  • Ability to effectively and positively influence people and drive change.
