Summary : This position is responsible for taking the lead in developing strategic initiatives that maintain and add to our existing customer base while promoting our products and services.
By supervising and coordinating the daily tasks of the Western Chemical Cleaning division, you will help achieve project goals and cost saving measures across the region.
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
Assists in the development of specifications for equipment which would best suit the needs of the organization
Maintain customer relationships and establish new prospects focusing on organizational sales targets and new business development
Advise and assist with project management process for industrial cleaning projects, including contract negotiation, documentation, planning, supervising delivery of projects and providing post-project support
Supports the development of marketing and sales initiatives as well as bid packages and proposals
Ensures adherence to all company health, safety, environmental standards, policies and procedures and maintains on-going knowledge of local, provincial and federal guidelines for full compliance
Participate in the completion and maintenance of sales contracts
Develop, implement, and maintain programs with customers to secure the highest potential long-term market share of their business
Improves Loss Management practices through oversight of operational processes
Proactively record and monitor ongoing sales activities to track and organize contracts with prospective and current customers
Provides leadership, strategic direction and vision for future growth and development by ensuring that employees are informed, aligned and accountable
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training division employees to make sure they are in compliance with the organization’s policies, practices and procedures and assisting in planning, assigning, directing and addressing complaints and resolving problems
Assists in the development and administration of sales, operating and capital budgets and various cost saving strategies
Role Specifications :
10+ years of experience in a GM or Operations Manager role in industrial services or maintenance in the oil & gas industry
3 - 5 years in a management or supervisory role
5 - 7 years of marketing / sales experience, in progressively more challenging roles
Business or Technical degree or equivalent experience
Proven business acumen and advanced customer service skills, enabling you to build strong value-added and collaborative relationships
6 Sigma certification would be an asset
