Roles and Responsibilities :
Analyzing Control Brand sales and profitability results each period, with a focus on performance vs. National Brand. Provide detailed analysis highlighting key drivers behind performance variances.
Findings presented to the SVP Control Brands and senior leadership within LCL. Incorporate trends and other learnings into ongoing financial analysis
Building a financial model to track key strategic investment initiatives related to Control Brands (Insiders, Loyalty, New and delisted products) to understand incremental profit
Perform sensitivity analysis to monitor and evaluate financial performance of strategies
Determining item level profitability to help teams identify opportunities for growth, areas of risk and concern
Working with large amounts of complex data and information from multiple sources and produce summaries to present to business partners
Validate and track cost savings maintained and negotiated by the CBST team
Validate and track operational revenue streams related to Control Brands
Interact with VP's across the businesses to plan, oversee, review, and interpret findings
Present periodic, quarterly results and ad hoc reporting (sales, profitability, category mix) to senior management
Managing the budgeting and forecasting of the admin budget, and interacting with VP’s across the Control Brands portfolio to ensure accuracy
Ownership of product recall process including calculating periodic recalls, determining P&L impacts, reconciling balance sheet account, working cross functionally (GL and VIF teams)
Support transition of weekly reporting into Microstrategy, working with the BICC team to identify criteria and test prototypes
Assist with the development of KPI’s and ongoing reporting
3-5 years in a finance role with a focus in analytics. Retail experience preferred
University degree in Business / Economics / Mathematics or a related field. CPA / MBA preferred
Strong financial modelling skills
Strong technical skills (primarily Access- queries / macros, Powerpoint and Excel) and ability to work with large amounts of data
An analytical and creative thinker, with a track record of delivering results
Ability to translate seemingly complex concepts into clear and concise presentations
The ability to deal with ambiguity and make intelligent assumptions
Strong communication and presentation skills this position will include exposure to many different groups within the company
Strong personal responsibility, honesty and integrity
