We are looking for a diligent and energetic Desktop Consultant for our Vancouver branch to support our Managed IT Services clients and a variety of interesting IT projects.
In this role, you will leverage your technical skills and provide an excellent customer experience, while building your experience within Long View.
A Day in the Life :
Diagnose and resolve incidents associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of issues and classify their urgency, impact, and nature
Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment
Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software
Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems
Respond to clients’ ticket queue and escalated ticket items as required
Communicate status of incidents, action plans for resolving incidents and completed incident reports
Document incident resolution and progress in in ticketing system
What You Bring :
1+ years’ of IT support experience, including experience supporting a Microsoft environment in a Service Desk or Desktop Support Role
Hands-on experience with Windows / Linux / Mac OS environments
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience with remote support
Experience with Active Directory
Ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately and work to resolve
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Post-Secondary education in a related field
