    What is the job about?

    As the VP of Engineering, reporting into the Enghouse Networks CTO, you will oversee the software engineering teams and work with product management, sales, marketing and other executives to deliver on the roadmaps and bring solutions to delivery.

    You will own product development, improve processes, tools and best practices. You will prioritize, mentor and lead. The ideal candidate has experience with managing multiple product teams, technical transformational projects, enterprise software is a problem solver and a good team player.

    What will you be doing?

    Your primary responsibility is to ensure the timely delivery of the product roadmaps and customer commitments :

  • Apply software engineering best practices
  • Manage and measure efficiency in roadmap delivery and software issue resolution
  • Lead a large and global engineering team
  • Research, negotiate contracts and deploy toolsets to a standardized ecosystem
  • Focus on high quality execution and technical excellence
  • Plan, monitor and optimize the engineering department budget
  • Ensure the seamless collaboration with Product Management, and Operations
  • Rapidly integrate new development teams and products when the company grows through acquisitions

    We emphasize the importance of :

  • 5+ years of experience in leading a large, distributed engineering organization
  • 5+ years of experience in developing solutions for enterprise software systems, preferably in the Telecommunications industry
  • Strong understanding of how to select and hire the best engineers on the market to join our team
  • Good technical knowhow and ability to coach a senior technical team
  • Previous career experience as a hands on software engineer including the respective educational credentials
  • Experience with evolving existing products through major technological shifts
  • Experience in managing technical debt while ensuring product success
  • Proven ability to improve efficiency in a large engineering team
  • Ability to design processes, workflows and systems to gather metrics and KPI data
  • Experience with multiple tool ecosystems, from development environments and project management systems to full CI / CD stacks
  • Experience in the use of 3rd party resources
  • Good at internal and external relationship building, with good communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, ability to rapidly learn key business drivers in the industry
  • Experience planning and managing to a financial budget, including making trade-offs in prioritizing projects
