POSITION SUMMARY :

Working closely with the General Counsel, you will provide licensing and regulatory support to all regulated business functions of Supreme and its subsidiaries.

The Operations Manager will manage multiple high-priority projects, while establishing best-work practices and processes across the Company.

And will be responsible for leading both strategic and operational integration projects that are delivered on-schedule and on-budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conducting due diligence on international expansion and cannabis licensing regimes
  • Develops and contributes ideas and opinions about strategic issues for consideration by Senior Management. This includes collecting relevant data, analyzing data, and developing presentations to present to Senior Management.
  • Advising proactively on developments in relevant statutes, regulations, policies and legal exposures as well as risks and regulatory challenges within the cannabis industry.
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to build out robust project plans to drive the entire lifecycle of both strategic and operational integration projects.
  • Coordinate all necessary resources to ensure timely delivery of projects Be solutions-oriented to resolve any and all issues which may impact the successful (and timely) completion of projects.
  • Working closely with commercial business teams to commercialize new cannabis related products and services.
  • Reviewing domestic and international regulations and preparing the applications for cannabis related licenses.
  • Providing strategic approach to regulatory compliance and internal procedures.
  • Develop all aspect of projects, including project plan, schedule and implement effective reporting to keep project stakeholders and Senior Management informed on key project metrics.
  • Advising proactively on developments in relevant statutes, regulations, policies and legal exposures as well as risks and regulatory challenges within the cannabis industry.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Responding to inquiries from Health Canada and other regulators following the submissions of a license application.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Leads responses to support queries and inspections by Health Canada and other regulatory bodies.
  • Acts as a strong leader / facilitator in the development and implementation of work processes with current business units for identifying, sharing, and making recommendations to create and institutionalize operational best practices across the organization.
  • Includes follow-up and tracking procedures to ensure best practices are implemented.

  • Identify operational and compliance gaps, whilst developing solutions to address them.
  • Support company with compliance policies and audits across various departments on all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Handles other duties, meetings and projects as assigned.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies in business expansion.
  • Licensing liaison between the business and subsidiaries.
  • Documentation and management of standard operating procedures.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science or pharmaceutical field preferred or relevant working experience.
  • Ability to operate strategically and / or operationally, as the situation requires.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a licensing with Health Canada.
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in achieving business objectives.
  • Superior oral and written communication, organization, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence and work with all levels across the organization.
  • Must be passionate about the cannabis industry.
  • Outstanding communication skills in both written and verbal expression are required.
  • Ability to facilitate and manage change.
  • Self-starter, persistent, adept in using metrics to drive performance and driven to succeed.
  • Resourceful, demonstrates ability to get things done through appropriate channels in a timely manner.
