Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Planner I- R&D for our Medical Manufacturing client in Ottawa West. This is a 1-year contract opportunity offering full time hours, Monday to Friday.

The salary for this position will be determined based on education and experience.

As a member of Engineering Services team, the candidate will contribute to the Research and Development team’s success by supporting multiple project teams, simultaneously.

Planner I - R&D Responsibilities :

  • Planning of cartridge and component manufacturing
  • Attend regular R&D project meetings to discuss needs and changes
  • Providing weekly updates to the program team
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations regarding the scheduling of R&D Project work orders and communicate status as required.
  • Ensure all forms and documents are accurate and up to date.

  • Schedule and track all special orders and strive for complete and on time delivery
  • Manage the inventory of all required materials, including appropriate disposal
  • Understand and comply with Quality and EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Safeguard the environment and facilitate a safe and healthy workplace culture.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as may be required.
  • Planner I - R&D Requirements :

  • College Diploma (3 year program), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, able to use multiple formulas / functions. Knowledge of Excel macros considered an asset
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize own daily work to meet established schedules.
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications
  • Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Judgment and decision-making skills, organization, coordinating and planning skills. Ability to work in a multi-task environment, under pressure, and with a propensity for continuous learning.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge and understanding of business processes and requirements.
  • Database management experience considered an asset
  • Production and inventory management experience considered an asset
  • Demand planning experience considered an asset
  • Material coordination experience considered an asset
  • Familiarity with medical devices, their development, and use, considered an asset
  • ISO / FDA regulations
