Westland Insurance Group Ltd has an exciting new opportunity for a Receptionist to support our Head Office in beautiful South Surrey, BC .

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent communication and organization skills.

    You are often the first line of communication with Westland Insurance. You need to be an exceptionally service-driven, people person with an excellent phone voice and organizational skills.

    Do you have an outgoing, friendly disposition and can naturally make others feel comfortable? Your professional approach and inviting personality make you an ideal person to create the first impression for our clients.

    The role :

  • Greet guests and provide direction accordingly
  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Receive, sort and prepare all outgoing mail by post and / or courier into correct categories, using established guidelines
  • Receive, sort and distribute all incoming mal / courier deliveries
  • Manage meeting room bookings
  • Ensure meeting rooms are clean and ready for use
  • Provide support to other administrative team members
  • Other assigned duties as required
  • Here’s what you bring :

  • Minimum 3 years of prior reception experience and any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of and competency in the knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for greeting clients, answering calls and dealing with multiple requests internally and externally
  • Computer and MS office experience
  • Effectively work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task, think quickly, and problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
  • Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job
