What is a Social Media Coordinator at Yellow Pages?

As a social media coordinator, you will report to and support the Senior Manager, Social Media to develop and execute social media strategy and tactics that promote and manage perceptions and messaging around the Yellow Pages Group brand and business activities.

The Coordinator will have an externally-focused role and will be required to liaise with various internal stakeholders and coordinate and manage a variety of online communications projects.

The candidate must be bilingual, possess excellent writing skills, an excellent understanding of social media and its applications as well as experience in social media and communications activities in a business setting.

Main responsabilities :

Content Development and Communication

  • Work with communications team to create and craft compelling social media content which supports the business objectives
  • Lead the management and engagement of the YPG online community in social media
  • Contribute creative and strategic content or engagement ideas to support brand repositioning

    Management of Social Media Presence

  • Provide effective issues management support within social media channels in collaboration with impacted departments and internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate and manage a persona for the brand in social media which supports corporate repositioning
  • Ability to provide effective reporting and analysis on activities and identify strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement in social media brand presence

  • What do you need to be a Social Media Coordinator at Yellow Pages ?

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or equivalent training.
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Must be fully bilingual (oral and written French and English)
  • Must have good writing skills in both
  • Experience in content development and marketing
  • Experience in blogger and influencer relations
  • Experience in managing a corporate or business online presence including blog, social media, etc.
  • Experience with social media engagement and monitoring tools (i.e. Hootsuite, Radian6, etc.)
  • Skills :

  • Avid social media user and early adopter
  • Strategic thinker with good understanding of brand management
  • Superior written and oral communication skill
  • Bilingual is a must
  • Attention to detail and strong coordination skills
  • Excellent proof reading skills to ensure quality control.
