The Project Manager, Business Development and Marketing is responsible for coordinating and managing departmental activities to ensure the effective operations of the Business Development and Marketing departments

The focus will be to deliver projects within scope, on budget and on time.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Manage, Support, and / or coordinate resources engaged in project delivery
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, workbacks and estimated budget scope
  • Manage project deliverables and performance in line with approved project plans
  • Create and manage the department’s Po’s and track departmental expenditures
  • Act as the central distribution point for all materials
  • Stock inventory of MediaCom collateral and presentation materials
  • Accountable for taking notes during meetings, conference report generation and distribution
  • Assist in writing, proofing and designing of presentations, including RFI’s and agency collateral materials, including brochures, case studies, employee bios, etc.
  • Update weekly Sales Status reports and prepare for presentation
  • Coordinate and manage all presentation materials with design team and production where necessary
  • Assist in the creation and writing of agency announcements and intra-agency correspondence
  • Manage agency documents ensuring that they are current, including RFI responses, client lists, etc.
  • Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and as asked reporting for McDab, Merx, Recma
  • Managing international and other report requests under the directive of your superior
  • Managing and curate content for social media marketing activities for MediaCom Canada
  • Fully understand and comply with branding guidelines and serve as a brand ambassador for the agency
  • Assist in the creation and execution and of marketing activities including press, events and branding the physical office space
  • Manage and coordinate the deployment of MediaCom CRM initiatives.
  • Support the writing and submission of agency awards
  • Arrange and plan lunches and dinners as needed for pitch teams during after-business hours
  • Coordinate and manage budgets and production of pitch-theatre for new business pitches
  • Conduct ad hoc research on prospective new business at Director discretion
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Skills and Behaviour :

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Project
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Effective written communications skills, including skill in proofreading for grammar and spelling
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and working with cross functional team
  • Ability to work successfully within a team as well as independently
  • Ability to work with tight deadline and irregular work hours (some late nights, some weekends)

    Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role within advertising / marketing
  • Post-secondary degree, PM certificate and PMP designation an asset
  • In-design / illustrator / PhotoShop skills a key asset
  • CRM experience an asset
