The Service / Gas Technician is responsible for handling installation or service calls. Possess multiple fuel certifications within the heating and cooling industry as well as senior level experience.
Ability to train junior apprenticing technicians while following the rules and regulations set out by local and provincial regulators.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation and Maintenance of all types of Propane / Oil fired appliances and storage equipment.
Provide service and maintenance to all brands of heating / cooling equipment in the field, with senior level troubleshooting experience.
Ability to work on call shifts during regular and off business hours.
Ability to plan and execute service calls promptly and efficiently.
Ability to up sell and promote Company offer to customer base and meet branch targets.
Deliver exceptional customer service and promptly complete daily, weekly and monthly paperwork as required by Company policy.
Follow company policies and procedures as required.
Safely execute daily tasks using the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) according to Company policy and procedures.
Report any unsafe acts when viewed or identified.
Ability to perform site specific hazard assessments as required by Company safety policies.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly vehicle inspections as required and keep Company vehicles clean to promote the Company image standards.
Qualifications and Skills :
G1 / G2, OBT1 / OBT 2 certifications required. 313D or 313 A considered an asset.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a previous Service Technician role as a multi-certificate holder.
Excellent customer service skills along with excellent communication and personal skills.
Clean driving record.
DZ license is an asset.
