As the ideal candidate, you are a professional and passionate communications leader with a strong background in the public, private or broader public sector and at least 7 years in a leadership role, including experience leading and managing staff.
You possess a degree in a related field (Communications, Public Relations, Marketing) and have experience leading strategic communications planning and brand strategies.
You are highly skilled at developing and implementing communications strategies and have overseen the deployment of communications programs, activities and products.
You understand brand positioning and the importance of brand recognition and awareness in a marketing context. You are experienced in stakeholder communications and knowledge mobilization and dissemination and bring strong media relations skills.
You are adept at using communications as an enabler to build awareness, establish relationships and partnerships and engage key audiences.
You are skilled at developing broad networks and managing relationships with internal and external partners across Canada and have the ability to engage diverse audiences and communicate to a variety of stakeholders with tact and diplomacy.
Skilled at fostering a work environment and culture characterized by innovation, professionalism, collaboration, inclusivity, continuous learning and accountability, you are able to inspire, engage, and motivate others.
Fluency in both official languages is preferred.
