General description of the job
You will be part of a team that will be introducing, implementing and sustaining an Aircraft Health Management System on Bombardier Business Aircraft.
In your role, you will :
Participate in developing an overall AHMS portfolio for all of Bombardier Business Aircraft;
Become the reference for key AHMS systems and capabilities, and associated emerging services and technologies;
Provide deep technical knowledge on hardware, software, connectivity and aircraft data;
Generate system requirements, test plans, execute test plans, capture snags and work with supplier to validate system readiness for launch to market;
Make solid technical recommendations in new development and validate proposed solutions to sustaining / change management product improvements;
Set up and connect the enrolled aircraft to ensure data transmission;
Support the integration of AHMS in other Bombardier departments;
Participate in trade events, support technical workshops within the organization;
Execute all tasks to meet requirements, within assigned budget and schedule;
Some travel may be required.
As our ideal candidate,
You hold a University degree in Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent;
You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical engineering field;
You have experience with civil aircraft and airworthiness authorities (asset);
You are ambitious and have a solid drive for results;
You have the ability to work autonomously, with little supervision;
You are organized, a team player, self-motivated, customer focused, and able to work under pressure;
You have demonstrated that you are pro-active, adaptable and flexible, you take initiative, you are innovative, have a strong sense of accountability and integrity;
You have the ability to manage initiatives of a technical nature;
You have the ability to influence;
You have strong oral and written English communications skills and functional French communication skills are desired;
You have excellent technical judgment;
Knowledge of aircraft protocols is a definite asset (e.g. A429, AFDS, TFTP).
