Position Purpose

Plans, manages and supervises all human, physical and budgetary resources for the Financial Research and Learning Lab located within the Telfer School of Management, in order to promote and support research, training, experiential learning and the transfer of knowledge and practical skills for students in finance and in fields related to capital markets.

Essential Qualifications

Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of finance and capital markets normally acquired through an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance

Four years of experience in the field of finance and capital market

Teaching experience preferably at a post-secondary level.

Knowledge of and experience using finance and capital market software (e.g., Bloomberg, Rotman Interactive Trader, Capital IQ, FactSet)

Experience planning, developing, coordinating and assessing programs and services

Experience developing and giving training or courses

Experience managing human resources and supervising a team

Ability to develop collaborations and partnerships with professors, students and external partners

Interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills

Bilingualism French and English (spoken and written); to be considered for this position, candidates must be rated at the Low Advanced proficiency level for both oral comprehension and reading comprehension in their second official language.

The rating is determined by a proficiency test designed by the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute.
