The successful candidate will provide network and telecom services including the installation, configuration, integration and support of Network and Telecom equipment.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with various platforms, technologies and manufacturers equipment, specifications, programming and capabilities, experience with Nortel BCM equipment.
The position will work closely with internal and external associates and customers to ensure environments are setup correctly and perform as expected.
Knowledge of Phone Systems, specifically Nortel, Video Conferencing and Networking would be an asset.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Hands on experience installing, configuring and supporting Nortel BCM.
Previous experience implementing other phone systems is preferred, such as :
Mitel IP Systems, Panasonic and Toshiba.
Knowledge of Voice and IP Telephony technologies.
Working knowledge of telecom / network cable infrastructures.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work during regularly scheduled and unscheduled evening and weekend hours to support ongoing implementation activities and remediation projects.
1+ Years of Telephony installation, configuration and support (Experience with Nortel BCM is required and experience with Mitel IP, Panasonic, Toshiba, or other telephony products is preferred).
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Business Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
Good understanding of technology concepts and design, specific focus on store / remote architecture.
Excellent customer service skills and comfortable with remote / telephone support functions.
Familiar with Project Management and Reporting tools.
Strong communications skills (verbal and written). Ability to work in both team environments and as an individual contributor.
Ability to work various shifts as needed for coverage
