Position Summary : The Project Manager role is a member of the Strategic Programs Team within the DBRS Morningstar Credit Group and responsible for managing the Methodology and Analytics Governance (MAG) Projects and other projects within Strategic Programs.
An ideal candidate is proactive, a self-started and enjoys working independently in a fast-paced environment. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating project(s) from inception to execution, which includes planning, execution and managing the people, resources, timeline and scope of the Project.
In this role, you will work with Credit Analysts, Credit Quantitative, Credit Practices, Internal Review Function and the Product Owners & Data Engineering for the Analytical Platform, Data Lake, Insight and Ratings Engine Teams.
This candidate will need to be comfortable with working across multiple teams with multiple activities occurring at the same time.
The role is based in New York, Chicago, or Toronto. Responsibilities : Develop, manage and execute the project plan to cross-functional teams, ensuring the project’s overall success Define and manage project scope Draft and execute project communication plans Hold project kick-off meetings, key milestone meetings, status meetings and agile ceremonies Proactively identify risks and potential issues.
Manage a mitigation plan and escalate to leadership when appropriate Adhere to Credit Policies, Procedures, Guidances and Standards Facilitate Agile development process, serve as scrum master when required Requirements : Highly efficient and effective in stressful, fast paced environments Minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience, ideally in Technology Strong written and oral communication skills Experience with product work and cross-functional teams Experience working directly with business users and communicating with IT teams Good understanding of system integration lifecycle Good understanding and experience in Agile development Detailed oriented, manage self and others’ work cross-function on assigned projects Familiarity with quantitative analytics and regression model terminology / development is a nice to have Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Word Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field
