We are looking for an Emergency Services Supervisor as well as Emergency Technicians to join our team. Work is both residential (living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, exteriors, decks) as well as commercial / industrial (hospitals, schools, restaurants).
As an Emergency Services Supervisor, you're well seasoned in the restoration world (with knowledge of demolition, construction and IICRC standards) and will be responsible for leading and training a team.
As a Technician, you'll learn a lot (water remediation, fire damage restoration, drying strategies, carpet cleaning, carpentry, drywalling, painting, controlled demolition) which will be great for your personal career objectives!

What you'll be doing as an Emergency Technician Supervisor...
Conduct site visits to confirm accuracy of scope of work, proper mark out, demolition, and equipment placement. Ensure SSA is posted and all hazards have been properly identified.
Review and approve employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
Ensure all claim-related documentation are complete, legible, and submitted timely
Ensure work authorization forms have been signed and submitted
Conduct on the job training and document employee progress
Train staff on how to moisture map, identify and mark out non-restorable materials, use equipment and stabilize job sites
Train staff on setting up specialty equipment
Take an active role in improving / maintaining the quality of jobsites
Provide training and feedback on customer service standards and professionalism on site
Frequently monitor job sites, document drying process and deem structures dry
Communicate scope of work discrepancies to PM Teams and recommend solutions
Identify areas of concern (high costs, projects taking too long) and work with teams to adjust and resolve issues
Estimate equipment requirements on large loss claims and instruct technicians on placement
Provide technical knowledge and support to all field staff (flood and demolition)
What you'll be doing as an Emergency Technician
Set up drying equipment, extract water from structures, monitor the drying process all while ensuring there is adequate site protection.
Daily completion of tracking documents, timecards, photos, and other necessary documentation.
Assist with the removal of sub-floors, baseboards, casings, cabinets, closets and doors
Assist with the removal and installation of knobs, handles, hinges and other fixtures
Assist with removal and installation of drywall (measuring, cutting, securing)
Occasional painting and carpentry duties
Load and unload construction materials to work areas
Clean work site area, sorts and dispose of affected materials
Pack damaged contents, clean structures, and tidy job site
Provide customer service while removing flooring, windows, doors, tile, cabinets, drywall and vanities
Your Qualifications & Experience as a Supervisor...
5+ years of restoration experience
Valid IICRC WRT certificate
Extensive knowledge of the IICRC S-500 and the ability to effectively communicate its guidelines to employees and customers
Valid B.C. Driver’s License with satisfactory driver’s abstract
Your Qualifications & Experience as both a Supervisor and a Technician
A great attitude and willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done. We have a great team whose talents compliment and assist each other.
A valid driver’s license to transport yourself, tools and materials to site is beneficial.
Flexible availability. We are a 24 / 7 emergency services company and all positions will have a component of on-call work on a rotational basis, in addition to your regular hours.
Eagerness to learn. We want to show you all aspects of restoration or allow you to teach others if you’ve mastered them.
Physical ability to complete the tasks listed above. Heavy lifting, bending, reaching etc. is required on a daily basis.
Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) including half-face respirator, Tyvek suit, hardhat and steel toe boots.
Superior customer service skills and a positive can-do attitude.
A clear criminal record, as it relates to the work we do.
Penticton branch with travel throughout the BC Interior. Job sites are mostly indoors.
Typical hours are 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm, with occasional overtime required.
