The Channels Systems Engineer (CSE) is a partner-focused technical sales professional who provides high level pre sales support, training and guidance to Channel Partners and customers who would collaborate with the Channel and Territory Managers to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings.
The Channel Systems Engineer acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as a security solution expert in his / her field by the account team, Channel Partners and customers.
Provide pre-sales security solution assistance for sales opportunities to Channel Partners and customers. This Includes solution design, Proof of Value, demonstrations, installations, troubleshooting and training of the FireEye platform.
Define solution options and articulate the benefits of FireEye products.
Provide Channel Partner technical enablement and support
Keep Channel Partners up to date on product and service offerings and promotions.
Work closely with partners in the design and implementation / integration of the FireEye platform
Understand the Channel Partners business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design.
Provide high level technical advice and support to channels driving partner led opportunities
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
7 plus years pre-sales experience in the computer network security industry.
Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies across multiple technical environments and a solid awareness of the security landscape and offerings
Extensive experience in a hands on technical role, capable of deploying and managing Proof of Concept equipment in customer networks
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Set and manage expectations with senior stake-holders and team members.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills. This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of the FireEye platform
Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including the following :
Linux, Network architecture / implementation / configuration experience and knowledge of packet flow / TCP / UDP traffic Firewall technologies, proxy technologies, anti-
virus, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS) Malware / security experience.
Understand and be conversant about FireEye competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
