What can you expect?

  • Mercer Health has a large team of consultants who have a diverse and wide range of experiences which includes people who have key specialties of knowledge of the business in plan design, trending and benefit cost strategies to support a large client base of varying sizes and complexities
  • Your role as a benefits consultant in this group would encompass delivering to your own client base, supporting others with their clients and working with more junior colleagues.
  • You will also have opportunities assisting with mentoring and developing knowledge for the upcoming consultants.

  • You will bring your experience and train with senior consultants to learn new and exciting approaches to client delivery of solutions and trends in the industry

  • We will count on you to :

  • Lead and support client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking and other studies
  • Develop benefits design and renewal strategies and drive the development of tools and solutions to address complex client issues
  • Use appropriate Mercer tools in the development and execution of client strategy
  • Incorporate compliance and professional standards into all work processes, including transparency, peer review and maintaining required licensure
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to more junior team members
  • What you need to have :

  • BA / BS degree
  • Minimum 5 or more years' experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex health care benefits challenges
  • What makes you stand out :

  • CEBS designation is preferred
  • proven management skills in leading large, complex projects
  • Strong, innovative sales and marketing skills, plus the ability to market organizational strengths successfully
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple and complex tasks in a demanding work environment
