We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure systems and infrastructure. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our systems for our production infrastructure.
In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of system administration and architecture.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
Work with the global IT organization to design and deploy system hardware / software for our production infrastructure including security patches
Review system changes for potential security and compliance issues
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot problems as needed
Analyze system problems, make recommendations for support process improvement by communicating to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, and unit leaders
Analyze utilization trends for ways to prevent future problems and manage upgrades.
Ensure that IT trouble tickets are answered promptly within SLA guidelines and updates are completed regularly on all issues
Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organization and their reliance on system infrastructure.
Proactively research new and / or updated technologies as they come available that pertain to our infrastructure.
Communicate regularly with development and support teams regarding system status and implementation schedules.
Remain familiar with PCI and vendor / customer requirements
Any other tasks as assigned
Functional Proficiencies
Minimum eight years experience with managing and engineering highly available environments including infrastructure design, systems administration, and systems engineering.
Minimum eight years experience with Medium / Large Data Center environments to include active / active scenarios, VMware Hypervisors, virtual switches, etc.
Minimum eight years experience with at least 6 of the following technological aspects : Microsoft Architectures : Windows 10, Windows Core, SQL 2019 and strong networking experience working with TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, Global Catalogs, Directory Replication Measures required for maintaining information security compliance IIS Administration Network load balancers (global and local) Virtualization technologies, VMWare preferred.
Scripting : Python, bash, perl, Powershell, etc. SAN storage solutions, Fiber-Channel preferred Proficiency with Linux (Centos, Redhat, Oracle)
5+ years supporting mutli-tiered Web Applications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems engineer.
Experience maintaining 24x7 availability of on an OLTP environment.
Experience with SQL queries and basic troubleshooting
Proven experience with network troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
Familiarity with change control processes.
Knowledge of PCI compliance a plus.
Highly self motivated and directed with good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Very strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to be on call 24x7 including holidays
Education and Training / Certifications
College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems
Any equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
