We have two Manager, Clinical Operations opportunities in our busy fast-paced Emergency Department at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

The department is comprised of two separate and distinct patient flow streams including Adult and Pediatrics, with Pediatric care delivered in a separate adjacent Pediatric Emergency Department.

We are embarking on a new structure where the two Manager positions will share responsibility for both areas.

SMH is a 630 acute care bed, University of BC Affiliated, regional referral and community teaching hospital that has the busiest emergency in BC.

We offer medical, surgical, neonatal intensive care, tertiary, ambulatory, cardiology, rehab, as well as 24 / 7 emergency services with 158,558 visits annually.

Build on your career experience as you :

  • Manage resources through the development of operating and capital budgets, review of expenses.
  • Lead people to cultivate an environment that inspires engagement, innovation, individual and team achievements and the provision of safe, quality care.
  • Recruit new staff and provide mentorship with meaningful feedback to team members through recognition and performance improvement to increase employee engagement and retention.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and their families.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical staff and other internal and external partners.
  • Participate in planning of short and long term tactical clinical, operational service plans.
  • Here is what we would like you to have :

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in health sciences.
  • Seven (7) years clinical experience.
  • Two (2) years in a leadership role.
