  • THE OPPORTUNITY

    Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the position of President, Quebec, is a critical role to continue the forward momentum of the organization, and to increase market presence in Quebec.

    We are seeking a leader who can lead, inspire and motivate a high functioning team of industry experts. Additionally, this person will be afforded the opportunity to liaise with the executive team and opine on the direction of the organization, with a strong voice for Quebec.

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Accountable for the achievement of the region’s sales plan and P & L results / performance monitor outcome of quarterly branch sales reviews
  • Lead the budgeting process for establishing revenue and expense targets for the region
  • Provide support and development to the VP, Sales and Sales Directors ensuring that branch / regional sales targets and goals are met
  • Lead the development of strategic sales plans and tactics based on company goals promoting sales growth and advisor satisfaction
  • Accountable for regional advisor chargeback debt results
  • Recruitment of Top 10 Elite advisors in co-ordination with VP, Sales and the Sales Directors
  • Build and foster relationships with the Elite advisors
  • Maintain relationships with regional carrier partner teams and all other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with carrier partners to execute on reward and recognition programs
  • Participate strategically in high value advisor events to build and maintain relationships
  • Ensure the implementation of effective advisor training and development programs across the region
  • Oversee regional advisor recruitment plans accountable for the achievement of results
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance and feedback to develop the skills and performance of Sales Directors and the VP, Sales
  • Establish performance standards / plans for direct reports annually and regularly evaluate performance
  • Actively participate in community and industry events such as CALU, ADVOCIS etc. to promote the FHG value proposition
  • Act as an advocate for Elite advisors including dispute resolution, exceptions, carrier escalations etc.
  • THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

    The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials, experience and skills :

  • Must be fluently bilingual (French / English)
  • Business management and acumen
  • Strategic planning & execution
  • Thought leadership

  • Drive innovation
  • Sales leadership development including coaching and mentoring for sales staff in the Sales Director role
  • Networking ability
  • Problem solving / analysis focus on advisor solution triage and the ability to bring the right people / partners to the table to deliver on advisor needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Industry and brand ambassador
  • 15+ years industry experience
  • Demonstrated sales leadership experience
  • Business management experience
  • Insurance and investments sales knowledge / experience
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry and regulatory environment
  • CFP, CLM, CHS, CLU designation(s) is an asset
  • LLQP & Mutual Funds license is an asset
  • Working in an office environment
  • Travel within Canada required
