Our client is hiring an Staff Accountant to join their Milton office. Our client is a boutique and award winning Accounting firm focused on Tax, Accounting and Business Advisory Services.
While this position is focused primarily on Accounting, within a small office environment, there will be some administrative duties as well.
Both Quickbooks and Tax experience is a MUST! Candidates without this experience will not be chosen.
Salary : $25.00 / hour
Hours of Work : Monday to Friday, 9 : 30am - 5 : 30pm
Until December - Part-time : Minimum of 3 days (22.5 hours) a week
From December - June : Full-time : 5 days a week with 37.5 hours
In time, the intention is for this role to become full-time, year round.

A minimum of 1-3 years of Accounting or Bookkeeping experience is required! Experience with both Quickbooks and Profile Tax software is a must! Knowledge of completing and filing T1 tax returns (Canadian tax) is required! Previous work with a CPA or Accounting firm is an asset, but not required.
Commendable skills in general bookkeeping procedures and principles. Strong organizational abilities with above average data entry skills.
Ability to multitask with a high level of attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Reliability and dependability is a must.
Professionalism and respect of confidentiality. Working knowledge of Word and Excel is expected.
