As a member of the Environment & Sustainability leadership team, you will participate in the development of a corporate ESG strategy complete with vision, goals, targets and measures to measure progress.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Lead the Development of West Fraser’s Sustainability Report : Transform West Fraser’s Sustainability narrative, bringing transparency that meets external and internal reporting standardsIncorporate surveys and external performance benchmarking to align the
  • Sustainability and Annual Report

  • Report on transformation aligned around strategy
  • Build a foundation for a culture that champions the environmental benefits of West Fraser’s business and transparently acknowledges the risk associated with business resilience and ESG values
  • Distill Sustainability reporting requirements and establish first quartile ESG reporting practices for West Fraser
  • Build relationships with key eNGO’s and sNGO’s and incorporate holistic perspectives into our internal strategy assessment
  • Enable Forestry and Divisions to have meaningful ESG conversations with local and indigenous communities to foster transparency around environmental performance, and consultation and materiality assessments for ESG strategy
  • Support Community investment
  • Partner with Finance and IT to ensure West Fraser can efficiently assess and report ESG information
  • Partner with Investor Relations to build West Fraser’s key messages for investors regarding ESG aspirations and business resilience
  • Key Capabilities :

  • Strong influencing, relationship building, collaborative and listening skills
  • Broad internal and external networks
  • Thorough working knowledge of forestry and building products industries is an asset
