Lead the development, management and implementation of key global Consumer and Retail marketing campaigns, in coordination with the national member firms and priority areas.

This role works with Global Consumer and Retail leadership who are located around the world, as well as regional and national marketing managers, and other functions within the Global Resource Centre including Digital and Social Media teams.

This is a challenging global role that will involve day-to-day liaison with KPMG leadership, national firms and key global third parties.

All outputs and activities must be to the highest possible standards and the successful candidate will need to display exceptional communication and influencing skills. #LI-Hybrid

What you will do

Strategic marketing planning, marketing program management and execution

  • Execute the annual marketing plan for the Global Consumer and Retail sector. On occasion, develop a marketing strategy for a new initiative as determined by leadership throughout the fiscal year
  • Create, implement and review the adoption and effectiveness of marketing programs to deliver on the objectives set in the strategic marketing plan.
  • Consult with key senior global stakeholders - National Practice Marketing representatives, Global Leadership and member firms.
  • Manage the marketing program from start to finish including stakeholder engagement, third party deliverables, budget, key performance indicators (KPIs) and timelines.
  • Marketing resource management and collaboration

  • Collaborate with the team responsible for the delivery of Global marketing activities.
  • Access and leverage the wider Marketing Shared Services resources Brand management, digital marketing services, Event Management, PR, Marketing Knowledge Management, Marketing Operations comprising a mix of in-house, outsourced and off shored resources and services.
  • Enhance market profile and reputation

  • Develop and deliver programs to raise the external profile of the Global Consumer & Retail sector, with a focus on key global and local spokespeople, and target markets.
  • Develop and implement an appropriate mix of activities that highlight KPMG's sector expertise. Typically this embraces social media, online content, events, flagship thought leadership and PR.
  • Develop and implement the key sector thought leadership projects based on the key issues in the industry where KPMG needs and / or wants to have an opinion that will help shape the development of the market.
  • Internal 'network' collaboration

  • Work closely and collaborate with countries, ensuring they utilize the global programs and best practice is shared across the global organization.
  • Identify and leverage programs and resources in key countries which can be tailored / elevated into the Global program.
  • Budget management and marketing ROI

  • Identify new KPIs and meet set targets.
  • Day-to-day management of a budget.
  • Effective use of allocated global marketing program budget and regularly report results to demonstrate value and ROI.
  • What you bring to the role

  • A marketing professional with at least seven years of experience (minimum of three years at a management level), including some relevant Industry / Sector experience
  • Experience developing compelling value propositions for services / campaigns and creating integrated issue based platforms both for promoting relationships and generating revenue
  • Experience working with and consulting senior managementDemonstrable success in developing and implementing complex (and preferably international) marketing programs - experience working in a professional services environment will be an advantage
  • Experience in working with content management systems to deliver content marketing programs and create demand generation campaigns in the business-to-business field
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders.
  • Experience of the above in a global, matrix context would be very advantageous

  • Experience developing multi-platform campaigns with a focus on social media and digital channels
  • Confident and assertive with excellent influencing and persuasion skills
  • Significant personal presence and excellent networking skills
  • A strategic and lateral thinker with deep commercial awareness
  • Strong marketing skills across a wide range of channels
  • Strong writing skills and a good understanding of how to make materials effective online
  • Empathy with and an understanding of the key issues facing the Consumer and Retail sector
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree preferably in a marketing related qualification
  • Post graduate qualification in a marketing related discipline is desirable
