Overview

This position manages the order process, from taking the order to delivery of the product. This includes, but is not limited to, keeping customers updated with accurate information on their orders and follow up and / or investigation on any inquires or concerns.

This role builds customer relations by utilizing proper communications skills to strengthen business relationships.

Responsibilities :

  • Enter significant volume of orders (lines) with high degree of accuracy for order originating and e-mail
  • Respond to emails and customer issues with supervision
  • Answer customer's questions in a timely manner
  • Review order paperwork to ensure accuracy
  • File customer-related documents
  • Manage a portfolio of orders requiring minimal follow-up
  • Participate in departmental meetings and related training sessions
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

  • Good computer proficiency, including working knowledge of MS Office
  • Good organizational skills and attention to details;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer navigation
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment, with supervision
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge in telephone and email etiquette
  • Product knowledge as it relates to the door industry
  • Qualifications

  • High School diploma required, Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 0-2 years of order entry experience
  • Experience in customer service for a manufacturing company is STRONGLY preferred
