Job Description :

Our BlackBerry Radar business group is looking for a Technical Project Manager. The successful candidate will work directly with product management, sales, engineering, partners, customer support and customers to ensure product deliverables, feature requirements and bugs are well documented and tracked.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and maintain project plans with input from engineering, product marketing, product management, sales and senior management
  • Manage all phases of the project from initial design to delivery
  • Identify, prioritize and define mitigation strategies for project risks
  • Drive internal process improvements
  • Track project performance, specifically paying attention to potential schedule delays and determining ways to mitigate / improve
  • Make recommendations for schedule and resource adjustments to project constraints based on other revenue impact, priorities, trade-
  • offs, company goals, etc.

  • Utilize input from customers, competitive analysis, and Sales to (i) collaborate with Product Management to define a feature set (and story development);
  • and (ii) collaborate with Engineering to develop a proposal on what can actually get built

    Education and Experience :

  • Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree or diploma program.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in project management for product lines comprised of SaaS and / or B2B hardware, preferably in IoT, mobile, telematics or similar.
  • Strong verbal, written, project management, and interpersonal communication skills as well as strong customer service orientation are required.
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Experience working with colleagues to perpetuate best-in-class processes relative to Time-to-Volume, Time-to-Profit, and Go-to-Market strategies.
  • Prior experience with embedded systems, SaaS platforms and experience with Consumer Electronics and / or Networking / Mobile / Communications / IoT / Telematics Markets is a bonus.
