We have an exciting opportunity for a in the Programs & Business Solutions (PBS) Group and located in our Vancouver office.
In this role you will be responsible for delivery of projects on schedule and within budget in accordance with project specifications and program management plan requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for overseeing and delivering various Programs / Projects as an Owner’s Representative within the Buildings sector.
Managing key client relationships and bringing in new clients
Supervises the work of others within the PBS Group and supervising staff on projects assigned to you
Leading and supporting PBS Group in decision making such as overall strategic direction, goal setting, identifying clients, market challenges and opportunities
Responsible for project performance, from both a client and Stantec perspective. This includes cost, schedule and quality performance requirements
Support and mentor others within the Group
Participating in marketing initiatives and leading or supporting project pursuits
Collaborating across PBS and with other Stantec business lines
Working closely with our Project Delivery teams for delivery of internal design assignments
Any other duties as assigned
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Efficient in project management of multiple concurrent projects, including experience in the Owner’s Representative role within the Buildings sector (commercial, education, and / or healthcare projects)
Understands client expectations and the full life-cycle of projects and effective project management
Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule
Strong computer skills and literacy in scheduling, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project or Primavera.
Understanding of and ability to read plans and specifications.
General understanding of design and construction process and requirements.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and problem- solving abilities.
Bilingual in Cantonese or Mandarin considered an asset
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of related project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PMP certification is preferred
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
