Your opportunity

Our team is looking for a Co-op or Intern Student to join the HR Services Team in May 2022 for a 4 or 8 month term and own the below responsibilities.

Note this will be a remote position with an opportunity to work from a BDO office across Canada in a future state.

  • Drafting various employment related letters including offer letters, FTE changes, and transfer letters
  • Completing ad hoc background screen checks for external employees
  • Assist Coordinators with onboarding tasks for new and returning employee hires including People Leader / Buddy emails, swag bag orders, and orientation scheduling
  • Answer general employee questions on BDO HR policies / procedures and employee benefits
  • Pre review wellness reimbursement claims and conduct research according to company outlines
  • Assist Coordinators and facilitate company wide orientation for new employees

  • Y our experience and education

  • You are currently working towards a degree / diploma and enrolled in a formal co-op program, focused in Human Resources or another relevant field
  • You have a desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork
  • You have strong PC skills including Excel
  • You are able to maintain confidence and exercise good judgement
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Bilingual (English & French) is a strong asset
