Overview

Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.

This position will provide electrical construction support to our transit systems, power supply and distribution team.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements and codes.

Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems Provide direction during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems.

Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI’s and shop drawings and administrate mechanical / electrical project completion requirements.

Perform layout work competently, accurately and efficiently. Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors.

Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project.

Coordinate inspections, inspect false work and monitor installation of rebar to monitor conformance to structural drawings.

Find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-

up with consultants and sub-trades to completion. Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction Provide support for quality assurance ITPs, witness testing where required, provide fieldinstallation sign-

offs (PICO), testing and commissioning assistance where required.Review all submitted work method statements for electrical installations.

Review, provide technical input and feedback on third party submitted electrical safetyplans and electrical start-up plans.

Review installation progress status and provide feedback for certification of progress billapplications.Able to communicate clearly and coordinate with multiple parties at different projectlevels.

Provide support to project management where requested.Able to read and interpret electrical plan drawings and specifications versus designrequirements and intent.

Able to plan and manage installation and testing schedules and / or take appropriatecountermeasures to maintain schedule demands with minimal risk.

Computer literate in MS Office applications including MS Project.
