Integrated Risk Management (IRM) is a corporate risk management department that reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer of the CWB Group.
Oversight accountabilities include Operational and Market Risk Management as well as ownership of economic forecasting, stress testing conditional credit modeling;
risk adjusted pricing oversight and the annual ICAAP exercise.

You will develop and maintain interest rate risk and credit spread models in addition to owning the risk reporting process.

Masters or Ph. D in quantitative finance, financial engineering or a related field
Professional designation in CFA and / or FRM are assets
Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience working in quantitative risk management of large financial institutions.
Extensive experience in financial modelling with R, Matlab, SAS.
Hands on experience in leading the development of quantitative methodologies for financial institutions.
Experience in presenting highly technical concepts and detailed results to senior management.
Experience in behavioral modelling for banking products (loan commitments, prepayment behavior, non-maturity deposit modeling)
Experience in liquidity risk management at a large financial institution
Experience in bank’s balance sheet forecast and funding plan at a large financial institution
Experience working with QRM
Develop interest rate and liquidity models to measure the Bank’s risk, reflecting prevailing market volatility and pricing
Develop credit spread models for measuring risk in portfolio changes in credit spreads and capturing correlations with interest rates
Report and analyze exposure to risk and work with senior leadership and the Treasurer to explain results
Implement second line accountabilities and provide oversight and challenge to implementation of first line accountabilities by the Treasury function
Develop a framework for measuring the risk return trade-off of changing the net duration position and provide regular reporting to support strategic decision making
Assess and quantify Economic Capital for Market Risk and develop stress test scenario’s
A strong knowledge of financial engineering as well as interest rate and term structure modelling is required for this role.
Proven ability in preparing clear and concise technical documentation for complex financial models.
Hands on methodology development and calibration experience with interest rate and credit spread models.
Ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data, analysis and reporting using databases and spreadsheets.
Experience in business and / or technical writing with clear and concise written communication skills.

Ability to conceptualize complex and highly technical issues and commutate them effectively

Highly organized and a strong attention to detail
