We are seeking a Manager of Content & Programming Strategy to help execute our Canadian content strategies for the Paramount+ streaming service.

Help chronicle and execute programming strategies to drive audience acquisition, retention, and growth.

This is a key role on the streaming content team focusing on the execution of our content strategy! Work with other regional programming and content operations teams to maintain the content schedule and related planning documents.

Reports to the Director of Programming and based in Toronto, Canada.


  • Assist in the creation and execution of the Canadian content strategy (SVOD Services) using ViacomCBS content assets, global acquisitions, international originals, and local original productions.
  • Partner with members of both the Operations / Revenue and Marketing / Growth / Analytics Canadian teams on initiatives to drive monthly subscriber and MAU growth.
  • Responsible for the content schedule and other planning calendars, work closely with both central and local operations teams on accuracy, changes, and escalation of issues.
  • Collaborate with local in-market content teams to execute content windowing strategies that drive growth in streaming.
  • Support the evolution and implementation of the editorial vision to drive growth and engagement for our international audience, while responding to cultural and consumer trends & business needs.

  • Bachelor's degree and / or related experience.
  • 3+ years' of experience in one or more of the following with video streaming technologies, digital content management systems, data applications, television programming, cable network, or MVPD background.
  • Knowledge of television and multi-platform viewing habits and evolving media consumption patterns.
  • Solid understanding of scheduling and programming strategies and proven success using data to inform both as well as content development.
  • Familiarity with traditional and digital audience data, digital asset management, streaming technologies, and scheduling tools.
  • Proven success using data to inform content development and programming strategies.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, and ability to influence and work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities and the ability to react quickly, dynamically, and intelligently.
