being, and penetrating new bakery segments and channels of distribution. The business will continue to grow market leadership and margins by investing in the premium whole grain product category, and by delivering continued product innovation in other bakery and snack categories.

Bimbo Canada serves major grocery chains, retail outlets and foodservice operations across Canada. The company distributes branded products in the discount, mainstream and super-

premium segments, and is the leading producer in most major bakery categories. It also produces private label products for grocery and foodservice outlet.

The Territory Sales Manager will report directly into the Regional Sales Manager and will be responsible for supporting the Field Sales team objectives through SOP compliance at store level.

They will help grow the volume through communication of marketing initiatives, sales reviews and selling plans with customers.

The successful candidate will identify potential new business within the region, provide effective account management and execution of initiatives required to maintain and grow brand presence and penetration within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish strong customer relationships through category reviews by identifying the underlying customer needs and motivations
  • Advise on plans to build business opportunities with Canada Bread Products and programs
  • Perform category review with customers to identify additional opportunities to increase profitability, ie display opportunity, cross merchandising etc.
  • Support the Food Service business through the execution of seasonal start-ups, market blitzes and the canvassing of new business
  • Establish, monitor and maintain service frequency patterns for all assigned stores in a given territory
  • Participate in route re-engineering for territory as required
  • Prepare volume forecasts for given territory i.e. long weekends and holidays
  • Provide performance management of independent business operators
  • Provide delivery of consistent sales execution plans in the territory
  • Participate in recruiting, training and development of Franchisees
  • Report territory activities to Regional Sales Manager
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to assist in achieving territory results
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years sales experience is required preferably in consumer food products
  • University or College degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of a Direct Store Delivery system
  • Ability to positively influence others outside of a direct reporting relationship
  • Ability to identify opportunities, set goals and execute against plan to achieve these goals
  • Self-driven to succeed and surpass targets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Capacity to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task in a high paced work environment
  • Proactive, team player that has the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
