What you’ll do

The Certification Program Office (CPO) at Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (CTC) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a process to facilitate Disclosure Controls and Procedures (DC&P) and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for the Enterprise.

    What you bring

  • Working towards a degree in Math, Business (Accounting or Finance), or equivalent. If applying for the CEO / CFO Certification Controls Co-
  • op : IT, a degree in Computer Science would also be of interest

  • Working towards a professional audit / compliance certification (CISA, CIA and / or CCSA) is an asset.
  • Working towards a professional Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) is an asset.
  • Experience in Audit / Compliance, Finance / Accounting or Information Technology (for the IT role).
  • Public accounting experience is an asset.
  • Experience in the Retail or Distribution industries is an asset.
  • Knowledge of NI 52-109, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX S404 / S302) and / or COSO 2013 is an asset.
  • Understanding of Information Technology processes and internal controls.
  • Understanding of Accounting and Finance processes and internal controls.
  • Understanding of business applications and integrations.
  • Understanding of programming logic and scripts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Able to multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Able to work independently or as a part of group.
  • Able to work with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
