About the Account Manager position :

Currently, we are looking for an Account Manager to join our Building Automation / Controls Systems team in Burnaby, BC.

Reporting to the Director, Technical Sales, the Account Manager is responsible to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities to align with overall sales strategy initiatives.

Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Be the primary point of contact for building long-term relationships with our customers
  • Become a trusted advisor for our clients on value added solutions, consulting offerings and additional products and services
  • Promote Houle throughout the A&E community including Consultants and Engineers
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel including Design, Engineering, Service and Management resources to meet account performance objectives and customer's expectations
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Attend Industry related functions such as Association events, Tradeshows, Conferences and provide feedback and information on market and technology trends
  • Development of quotations and proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns and objectives
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Experience and Skills :

  • Experience in the BAS / Controls Industry
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed growth and sales targets
  • Knowledge of BAS products (Schneider and Reliable preferably) would be an asset
  • Experienced in delivering presentations
  • Excellent Networking and Prospecting skills
  • Must have good multitasking ability and problem-solving skills
  • Must have excellent people management and leadership skills
