Status : Temporary Full-time (Up to 1 year)


  • In compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, the principle responsibilities of the Facility Management Services Coordinator include : assisting in financial and office administration functions within the Plant Operations and Maintenance Department;
  • overseeing the operation of stores; organizing and controlling functions of computerized programs in maintenance operations, construction, financial management and office / warehouse operations;
  • overseeing work of and providing guidance to Departmental Secretary; submitting ideas on continuous quality improvement;
  • performing cross-functional and / or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested (e.g. Help Desk).

    QUALIFICATIONS : Education


  • At minimum, completion of a community college diploma program or recognized equivalent required.
  • Specialty in inventory control or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Experience

  • Three (3) to four(4) years practical and related experience required.
  • Experience with CMMS Management systems (iMaint, JD Edwards, etc.) would be an asset.
  • Additional Skills

  • Must have solid command of Microsoft office suite.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Bookkeeping / accounting Knowledge as it relates to the purchasing of inventory and report writing.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and policies.
  • Ability to preform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines.
  • Exercise initiative and good judgement and ability to multi-task.
  • Compliance with confidentiality requirements.
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and / or departmental policies.
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand.
