As a key member of the Wireless Access and Packet Core Development team, you have solid knowledge of LTE products, 3GPP specifications, and network architecture and optimization.
Your background and experience in cloud computing and virtualization will shape TELUS’ next-generation networks.
Lead TELUS RAN and Packet Core NFV Lab Development and Production Operations, ensuring proper resource dimensioning, growth, and sustainment
Prime TELUS’ development in NFV / SDN solutions for wireless access and core
Analyze, engineer, and configure computing capabilities to run reliable telecommunications-grade services
Translate lab configurations to business-wide best practices; propose and implement engineering guidelines
Communicate / clarify TELUS requirements to vendors and evaluate responses; represent TELUS' interests in dealings with customers, clients, sub-
contractors and suppliers
Validate vendor compliance to industry / TELUS standards by conducting lab proofs of concept and interoperability testing
Provide technical leadership in managing lab network troubleshooting and performance enhancements

Valued for your knowledge and work experience on cloud computing platforms, such as OpenStack and AWS
Commended for your background in Red Hat Linux system administration
Acknowledged for your understanding of container concepts (e.g. LXD, Docker), and orchestration (NFVO, VNFM, Kubernetes / OpenShift)
Skilled in database techniques (e.g. SQL)
Talented with automation tools (such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet as well as TOSCA / YAML)
Confident with hardware platform administration skills in HP Proliant, Juniper Junos, Cisco IOS, and storage techniques (iSCSI, Fibre-Channel)
Regarded for your software defined network (SDN) knowledge in topics such as OpenFlow and Juniper Contrail
With your 5+ years of experience performing lab evaluations including proofs of concept, network modeling, cost analyses
Known for your experiences with 3GPP core network elements including CS and PS domain RNC, MGW, GGSN, SGSN, and related standard and features
Confident with CCNA / CCNP and your experience in route / switch configuration and troubleshooting
With a University degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Background in DevOps tools (e.g. JIRA, Git, Jenkins)
IP based application knowledge and exposure to network security
Ability to develop schedules, identify resource requirements, and develop business cases
