The Future Friendly Home (FFH) Channel Go-to-Market & Adoption Team is responsible for developing strategies that enable our sales channels to sell TELUS home services.

The FFH Channel GTM & Adoption team supports programs and initiatives within TELUS' first- and third-party sales channels, including corporate stores, authorized dealers, and third party retailers (e.

g. Best Buy and Walmart).

This Marketing Manager role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of the consumer electronics retail industry.

This candidate will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of channel programs that enable our sales channels to sell TV, internet, and connect home services in our stores.

functional senior leaders (Managers and Directors). You provide feasible recommendations grounded by your strong understanding of the competitive landscape and TELUS priorities.

You're highly organized, and you are experienced at project management. You take pride in end-to-end ownership of monthly marketing plans, and hold yourself accountable to both the deployment and success of these programs in meeting Channels and Marketing KPIs.

Here's how

  • You're responsible and accountable for the development of monthly marketing plans, priorities, programs and initiatives (including the budget allocation and measures of success);
  • you'll engage the appropriate stakeholders in both Channels (Field leadership) and Marketing (product owners, marketing / communication primes, systems teams, etc.)

  • You'll leverage your command of market knowledge to build; secure alignment; and execute your monthly marketing priorities
  • You have a proven track record of reading the competitive landscape and leveraging the strength of individual sales channels to devise appropriate action / responses by cross-
  • functional teams within TELUS

  • You're an advocate - you have an understanding of the requirements for success at both the Channel / Marketing level, and are able to find creative solutions that offer success to all parties
  • You're a leader and contributor to the development of new Channel initiatives that establish best-in-class sales experiences
  • You're able to travel occasionally for business purposes (a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Passport required)
  • Qualifications

    You're the missing piece of the puzzle

  • University degree in Business (marketing preferred)
  • 3-5 years minimum of Marketing-related experience
  • Strong understanding of technology and the consumer electronics industry; Canadian telecommunications industry; and TV / Internet providers in Western Canada
  • Strong understanding of wireless and wireline (IPTV, internet) services; broadband networks; and fibre optic technology
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs and key drivers to increase success rates of new program launches
  • Proven ability to provide insight required to drive sales and or close sales gaps
  • Experience in leading, developing, and present business cases and marketing proposals to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven track record for successfully project managing cross-functional stakeholders; managing through conflict / objection;
  • and persevering through difficult situations

  • Familiarity with the home security landscape in Western Canada
  • Previous head office experience in consumer electronics industry (retailer / manufacturer head office)
