We currently have an exciting regular full time opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic as a dedicated Mental Health Group Therapist within our Mental Health and Substance Use Program located in the Tri-

Cities areas of British Columbia .

The Therapist is responsible for the delivery of programs and related services to adult clients with various mental disorders, including the provision of group therapy and group education.

Build on your education and career experience as you :

  • Deliver group therapy sessions to clients by using various group processes and theory for specific client populations.
  • Develop and coordinates group sessions including the necessary preparation, prioritizing, scheduling and arranging for space and other resources.
  • Perform short term assessments and treatments of assigned cases using various treatment modalities / therapies.
  • Liaise with primary physician, team members, staff and referral sources, regarding client care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and research by identifying client care issues and collecting data.
  • To join this dynamic team you have :

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling or other health-related discipline.
  • One (1) year recent related experience with adult clients in a crisis or psychiatry program or two (2) years in a psychiatric or community mental health setting with an emphasis on group work.
  • Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes
