Job Advert Description

The Marketing Coordinator, Canada contributes to the Marketing department from an executional role. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, s / he contributes to the planning, implementation and evaluation of integrated marketing strategies and is responsible for execution including but not limited to seasonal planning, CPI process, retail / franchise marketing, monthly budget / cost reconciliation and support for relevant files and activity reports.

Responsibilities :

  • Support Seasonal Marketing plans and programs, including monitoring of budgets versus expenses, activating programs that are on message and consistent with the brand strategy.
  • Responsible for assisting the CPI process with wholesale accounts seasonally, including monitoring of budget versus expenses, and liaising with Sales and retailer to finalize approvals.
  • Ensures all advertising is consistent with brand guidelines. Responsible for CPI pre-approval, managing CPI budget, approval of third party creative, media invoices and retailer CPI credit of expenses process.

  • Monitor and update the Clarkscanada.com website, store locator and seasonal campaign content refresh
  • Support the retail marketing plan and activation calendar (franchise doors). Coordinate calendar for window flows, in-
  • store signage : creative briefs, print and ship. Coordinate schedules with Canada FMR

  • Executes sales associate incentive tactics; participating in sales associate and Sales Force communication, results and rewards as required.
  • Assists in the planning and preparation of custom incentive programs for major and key accounts.

  • Responsible for tracking and reconciliation of marketing expenses including quotes, PO generation, cheque requisitions and marketing credit requests.
  • Assist the Markeitng Manager with development and execution of trade shows, sales conferences etc, including execution of branded graphics, sourcing of materials, booth layout, booking of equipment, catering, and Sales Force communication.
  • Responsible for the coordination and execution of special events including key account events, PR events, pop up shops etc.
  • Develop close working relationships with Sales management, TMs and US marketing team.
  • Qualifications :

  • University or higher degree, Marketing preferred
  • Exposure to a business environment, preferably supporting a marketing function
  • Must be able to travel approximately 10%. Some evening and weekend hours are required
  • French is an asset
  • 1-3 years applicable experience in marketing / project management
  • Microsoft Office with intermediate - advanced excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities
  • Strong proactive communication skills
  • Clearly demonstrated ability to organize time and projects, delivering on-time, on-budget tasks and / or projects
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to think through options and make recommendations based on existing knowledge
  • Ability to analyze basic expense versus budget and marketing program results to provide input and recommendations for improvements
  • Developed organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to build strong relationships across organization and externally
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision and with a team
  • Achieved a Degree or diploma in marketing and / or business management
  • Some experience within a marketing environment, preferred
  • Expert working with Microsoft Suite : Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Basic financial acumen from a budget management perspective
  • Experience working in a highly customer oriented environment
