As the Regional Commercial Forecast Analyst Americas you will develop the sales forecast for the Business to Business (B2B) wholesale distribution of the Americas.
You will participate in the S&OP process with specific focus and responsibilities on the Sales forecast and work closely with the global commercial team and senior manager of Global Commercial Sales Forecasting to improve sales forecast accuracy, prepare insightful data analytics and build strategies to grow the business.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities :
You create the B2B Americas sales plan for the Idea to Consumer (i2C) future line list product cycle. By country, category, key dealer -
all down to the product level
You collaborate closely with the international members of the Regional Commercial Forecast Analysts team to understand the business outside the Americas and provide insights and information pertaining to the Americas to insure the global B2B targets are achievable for all seasons in the i2C cycle
You insure the financial targets of the Americas can be achieved with the products in the seasonal line list
You generate the sales plan for the seasonal product initiatives by key dealer.
You develop strategies for seasonal target achievement by dealer
You are the point of contact for all matters relating to Americas B2B business with the continuous i2C line list development cycle
You work with the Product Line Management team on future product launch preliminary forecasts; to understand their product strategy and add insights to improve product line planning
You work closely with Demand Planning to improve forecast accuracy at a model & article level
You collaborate with the global commercial team in the sales forecasting process to capture all necessary information that may impact sales performance or trends to drive forecast accuracy improvement
You work closely with marketing team to understand and analyze the potential impact from heavy up / advertising to sales performance and update sales forecast to reflect it when necessary
You work closely with the B2C team to understand and analyze the potential impact B2C business plans may have on B2B sales forecast for other channels
You use all current known statistical forecasting methodology and develop new methods if conceivable
You build analytical reports to improve business understanding and presentation
You take on other projects and tasks as assigned by management
Additional experience, education and / or skills :
You have a University degree in Math, Economic, Statistics, Finance, Business or equivalent.
You have a minimum of 2 years of Sales Forecasting, Demand Planning, Retail Buying or Supply Planning experience
You have outstanding analytical abilities, combined with strong business acumen; ability to master the numbers as well as relating it to others, specifically to global commercial team.
You have strong attention to detail, ability to work with a high degree of ambiguity and a high level of comfort in working with large quantities of data.
You have advanced Excel Skills.
You have excellent verbal and communication skills.
