We are looking to add a new member to our Production team. This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario
Responsible for working as part of the Shipping / Receiving team to produce quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer.
The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently load and unload trucks. As well as ensure that incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.
Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
Operational problem solving and seeking out continuous improvements to the process;
Route incoming goods to the proper departments.
Analyzes production report to schedule shipping activities and arrange for and expedite additional carriers if required.
Prepares and maintains records, documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items. Responsible for input of received goods.
Communicates with carriers to preclude delays in transit.
May contact outside contractors regarding deliveries.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a fork lift and / or other equipment required in the shipping receiving function and arranging for such maintenance service to equipment as required.
Duties include counting, weighing, and wrapping skid loads for shipment and applying labels showing correct amount, part numbers, and destination.
Responsible for housekeeping in the Shipping / Receiving area.
Participating in team meetings;
Work in compliance with Stackpole PMDM Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
Assist in the training and development of new members of the Shipping / Receiving area;
All other duties as required
Team player with the ability to work with others in a team based environment;
Certified Fork Lift Operator or willingness to successfully complete the Fork Lift Training program.
Experience in manufacturing industry.
Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with drivers and dispatchers of the various carriers.
Familiar with the operation of PC’s.
Duties require an individual with a certain amount of organizational and analytical abilities capable of problem solving and troubleshooting.
