Eagle is currently seeking a Cost Control Specialist for a one (1) year contract opportunity, scheduled to begin in February.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for : Assigned to projects of more than $50MM / year with multiyear duration with an extreme level of complexity;
Designing and implementing processes for project cost control, identify gaps, and correct where necessary;Managing multiple tasks and to working with minimal level of supervision;
Interpreting internal or external business issues and recommends best practices;Solving complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions;
Working independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations;Giving clear direction and support to Project Execution personnel in the area of cost control;
and,Troubleshooting specific controls issues and make applicable changes. Skills and Qualifications The qualified candidate must have : A Bachelor's Degree in Financial discipline, Engineering, or Technical field;
Ten plus (10+) years’ experience, including two plus (2+) years relevant project experience;Account credentials such as CPA, CGA, CMA, etc.
Expert level Excel experience;Completion of a Certified Cost engineer (AACE’s CCC / CCE) or PMP is preferred;Experience with SAP and Oracle, such as pulling financial reports, coding items to the right projects, and submitting accurals to finance;
Experience working in a multi-project environment;Demonstrated strong leadership skills / facilitation; and,Expert understanding of best management practices for project control, forecasting and reporting.
