ARMOR-IIMAK Canada is seeking a Slitter Operator to produce quality thermal transfer ribbons according to specifications with the production plan.
No prior experience? Don’t worry, we will train you! In this position you will be a key part of producing product for the food and pharmaceutical industries that touch our everyday lives.
WEEKEND SHIFT : Fri-Sun 6 : 00am 6 : 00pm
Weekend shift premium : Work 36hrs will be paid 40hrs
Min qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, and divide all units of measure and compute ratios.
Ability to have common sense understanding to carryout written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving some variability.
Read and understand production specifications and bill of materials
Able to lift 65-lbs (not often)

On their feet most of the workday
Setup and operate slitting machines (training will be provided) : Setup and programming the machine to run proper length, speed and tensionRun production jobs as requiredUse quality control equipment to ensure products always meet specificationsComplete paperwork to properly record production outputOperate material handling equipment in a safe manner
