Job Description

profile Enterprise IT Change Management project deliverables? Are you a seasoned and certified ITIL professional who is confident working in large and complex change management CSI initiatives, enforcing governance, and mitigating risk in technology?

If so, this is a great opportunity, setting direction and enhancing the overall ITSM maturity at TD.

A typical day might see you providing assistance and guidance on change requests and managing CAB meetings to drive change success.

Based on the new IT enterprise change management maturity roadmap, the TD Enterprise Change Management Team is looking for a great individual with proven industry experience to join our dynamic group as Change Manager, Enterprise IT Change Management (Full-

Time). This position reports directly to the Manager, Enterprise IT Change Management. This new role will support the defined enterprise change management process to drive, execute, and manage several key high-

profile projects closely aligned to uplifting the maturity level, enforcing governance, policies, procedures, processes, developing and enhancing change management documentation, and managing top IT change management initiatives.

Furthermore, the incumbent will assist in executing defined change management strategies, methodologies, and plans that maximize adoption to the change management processes and procedures, drive faster adoption and increase change success rates leveraging the agile methodology, analyze and assess change readiness, and implement risk mitigation tactics.

This individual will also focus on the operational components of IT change management including business processes.

This opportunity will also focus on managing process improvements within the enterprise ITSM tool (ServiceNow). The incumbent will also assist in overseeing the day-

to-day change management process from change request to the closure of a change record.

This role will present a great opportunity to grow and build your personal brand internally, working alongside a large experienced team with a great roadmap and plan, while being exposed to several key members of the TD leadership community which will provide exposure to several opportunities within the bank as TD continues to grow.

As the Change Manager, Enterprise IT Change Management, you can expect to :

  • Drive change management efforts and all related activities through your team
  • Execute with excellence with a united goal to embody a culture capable of executing quality, risk free change requests and positively impacting the corporate culture and customer experience
  • Serve in two functional capacities, as both a people manager and an industry expert responsible for own change management deliverables on complex projects and programs
  • Share deep knowledge, information, skills and subject matter expertise (SME) to deliver successful changes
  • Collaborate and be the change management expert for business partners at all levels
  • Work with Business Owner and Sponsor to identify change adoption metrics; lead relationships with controls and compliance to align with enterprise and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate a smooth transition into steady state leading change management into a higher level of maturity by embracing DevOps, artificial intelligence, and agile methodologies to automate and execute with speed
  • Assess potential issues, mitigate and report / escalate as required
  • Act as a consultant and valued resource to business and other working partners
  • Protect the interests of the organization - identify, manage and raise risks or issues and problem solve as required; stay on top of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements

    This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, self-starter to join a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical writing and documentation skills, oral communication and presentation skills, and strong attention to detail.

    Multi-tasking is a key part of the job and having a sense of urgency and strong customer skills are required to be successful.

    The incumbent will have deep knowledge and understanding of the ITIL framework, and familiarity with an ITIL aligned tool, preferably ServiceNow.

    Responsibilities include establishing a curriculum for our next generation change management platform to create, design, update, implement, and manage all standards, policies, procedures, processes, and enforce governance within this functional service area.

    The incumbent should proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of critical change management projects, change request orchestration, and BAU activities.

    Ability to drive the strategy to update change management documentation within the organization to institutionalize change management practices.

    Carry out assignments and special projects independently, drawing upon skills, knowledge, and expertise related to communications, organizational development, and change leadership initiatives.

    Maintain the library of change management documentation, communications, templates, and presentations for the organization to leverage.

    Coordinate technology change requests across all lines of business within the organization.

    Must have :

  • Minimum of 6-7 years of direct change management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of IT change management methods and procedures
  • Strong service management experience, operational, and relational integration with other ITIL processes and disciplines such as incident, problem, and asset & configuration
  • Experience leading and participating in the knowledge transfer of information with peers and management related to change management documentation, processes, policies and procedures
  • Understanding of the inter-relationship of complex technologies related to IT change management in a hybrid environment inclusive of mainframes, distributed systems, software, CMDB, DevOps, virtualization, and Cloud
  • Hands-on experience creating, assessing, approving changes (normal, standard, expedited and emergency), managing change advisory board meetings (CAB), assisting in RCA activities, managing post implementation reviews (PIR), and the change evaluation process spanning the lifecycle of a change
  • Expertise in building, managing, and updating a full ITIL based documentation library, inclusive of version control, sound document retention policies, regular reviews, attestations, and auditing
  • Knowledge formulating, reporting and presenting analytics, metrics and KPI's to executives including ad-hoc requests for various internal business units and support teams
  • Extensive industry knowledge and subject matter expert experience IT Service Management processes and tools, especially change management
  • Ability to chair / manage various enterprise change management meetings
  • Proven experience evaluating risk and impact associated with submitted changes and investigating linkages between incidents to determine RCA
  • Experience driving process and organizational maturity in an IT change management program
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or another ITIL aligned Service Management tool is an asset
