Your opportunity :

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will support research and administrative aspects of projects in the area of human motor learning at the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Proofing and posting adverts to recruit applicants
  • Preparing consent forms using templates
  • Following rules and procedural instructions when administering research studies
  • Recording and tabulating experiment results
  • Providing some care to prevent physical or emotional injury or harm
  • Recording or verifying transactions on a single account
  • Providing orientation to others on work procedures and practices
  • Qualifications

    Essential Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Kinesiology, Neuroscience, Health Science, or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a research setting, in the area of human motor skill learning and aerobic exercise.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data collection, data entry, and data checking processes, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient use of personal computers including products such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), and statistical analysis package SPSS.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be reliable
  • Assets (Nonessential) :

  • A piano performance background is an asset.

    Full-timePay Scale Group and Hiring Rate : USW Pay Band 05 $45,816 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $58,590.

    Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation / Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
