Support municipal engineer in storm sewers, sanitary sewers and watermains as well as site plans for water and wastewater facilities and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As an Intermediate Municipal Engineer, you’ll have the chance to design of water distribution systems, stormwater collection and management systems, sanitary truck sewers, reservoirs, outfalls, and site plans for water and wastewater facilities such as water purification plants, wastewater treater plans and remote facilities (eg.

Pump station, odour controls facilities etc). Working with other members of the team, you’ll condition assessment and rehabilitation of existing linear infrastructure, perform sophisticated and complication design and calculation in accordance with established department standards and software, develop new or novel concepts and approaches, and recommend major design changes when required.

During your time with us, you will interface work with approval agencies such as MOECC conservation authorities etc., prepare and / or supervise engineering studies, calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and cost estimates, participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions / management of changes, startup and commissioning and trouble-

shooting, as well as provide Contract Administration services and required and complete site inspections. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with current P.Eng designation in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of competency in working with municipal clients in engineering roles.
  • Knowledge and expertise of : water distribution systems, stormwater collection and management systems, sanitary trunk sewers, reservoirs, outfalls, and site plans for water and wastewater facilities such as water purification plants, wastewater treater plans and remote facilities (eg pump stations, odour control facilities, etc), reservoirs, outfalls, condition assessment and insitu rehabilitation of existing linear infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with design and construction of municipal linear infrastructure.
  • Proven experience on consulting projects.
  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building and collaborative team work.
