Engineering-Facilities Lead Job
We are currently seeking a Facilities Lead for our large Oil and Gas client in Calgary, AB. The Facilities Lead will evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-
contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications and regulatory requirements. This is a contract role with travel required to Fort McMurray to support various projects.
The Facilities lead job responsibilities include :
Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures.
Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
Involved with the ongoing operations of this equipment, suggesting maintenance schedules and consulting on future renovations and construction.
The Facilities Lead will supervise a multidisciplinary team through FEED, Detailed Design and Execution for various opportunities and projects.
The Facilities Lead is also responsible for supporting project evaluation and selection including Opportunity Assessment, Concept Selection, Brownfield verification, Gate 2 deliverables, ensuring project technical and execution plans meet the Project Objectives and Strategies
Support Opportunity Assessments with Technical Design Bases and deliverables, and E&P execution plans.
Support Execution team with RFIs and technical issue resolution, initially on the PSC Plant Availability Project
Support planning and execution of objective concept selection evaluation, documentation and approval.
The Facilities Lead job qualifications include :
20+ years of closely related professional experience
Master’s degree in Chemical, Civil, or Electrical Mechanical Engineering or related engineering specialty
10+ years of which should be at the senior project engineering / engineering management level with responsibility for engineering oversight and surveillance
Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
Broad knowledge of Design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
Onshore process facilities and structures design, construction, and operations
Knowledge of Oil sands, hydraulic transport and bitumen extraction technology & systems essential.
