Assistant Director Opportunity

Dufresne Retail Solutions Group - The Dufresne Group is currently seeking an Assistant Director for our dRSG Team for Western Canada.

As an Assistant Director, you will assist with the development, execution and management of all aspects of the dRSG buying group while also providing hands on support that includes assisting in the recruitment of new dRSG members.

  • As the Assistant Director, you will :

  • Strategic Responsibilities Assist current members in growing their respective businesses to become more profitable. Assist with the implementation of various dRSG programs with members e.
  • g. Core program, marketing programs, measurement programs. Assist in creating and implementing monthly member marketing programs with a focus on digital.

    Assist in coaching and managing current, and recruitment of future Business Development Managers. Assist in monitoring member support of dRSG programs on an on-going basis.

    Assist with the organization of member meetings. Assist in monitoring member's key metrics and provide feedback on same.

    Ensure members are informed of buying group and industry information in a timely fashion.

  • Tactical Responsibilities Assist in recruiting new members to dRSG. Provide member feedback to dRSG director. Monitor member support of dRSG programs on an on going basis.
  • Conduct seminars with members to ensure education on dRSG programs. Complete detailed weekly and monthly activity reports.

    As a successful candidate you will have the following :

  • Skilled in Technology, Sales, Key Account Development, Strategic Planning, and Business Development
  • Strong marketing professional with a MBA focused in Business.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in digital marketing and sales
  • Experience in dealing with independent businesses
  • Experience in retailing, preferably in the home furnishings category
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Ability to travel - 2 weeks per month
  • Criminal Record Check required
  • Valid driver’s license required
