Administration of Heath and Dental benefit plans, Defined Contribution plan and leaves of absences including STD, LTD, WCB, Maternity and Paternity.
Research on current and potential benefit programs for competitive benchmarking.
Prepare communication to employees on updates and changes.
Participate in benefit surveys and industry surveys.
Handle all inquiries from employees regarding group benefit programs, work with benefit providers for resolutions.
Partner with the HR Coordinator to ensure the smooth transition of new hires into the organization through new hire set-
up, onboarding and orientation.
Build and sustain relationships with all employees and third party providers.
Education required is a diploma or a University degree with a focus on HR.
Two (2) years of Human Resources experience with exposure to benefits.
Ability to continuously interface with HR colleagues and employees across the organization, demonstrating a passion and enthusiasm for providing excellent service.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel.
High level of empathy and professionalism.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and independence.
Ability to manage several projects at one time while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Must possess an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
